Hi, I'm hiring some GenVI dimmers for the first time soon, and will be using a 3-phase supply. I've looked at the User Manual but can't find any information about how the load is distributed across each phase. For example, is it...

a) Ch1 on P1, Ch2 on P2, Ch3 on P3, Ch4 on P1, etc, or

b) Ch1&2, on P1, Ch3&4 on Ph2, etc, or

c) Ch1-4 on Ph1, Ch5-8 on P2, Ch9-12 on P3, or

d) some other method of spreading the load?

The reason I ask is I want to ensure the load is evenly spread across each phase by moving things around to appropriate channels.

Thanks.

I am sure it is in the manual somewhere, but may well be hard to find :-)

The phase order is P1, P2, P3, P1, P2, P3, P1, P2, P3, P1, P2, P3

i.e. Channels 1, 4, 7, 10 are on Phase 1

      Channels 2, 5, 8, 11 are on Phase 2

      Channels 3, 6, 9, 12 are on Phase 3

We agree that this is important information and that is why it is also printed on the front panel, just below each RCBO.

Thanks for the detailed response Richie, that's exactly what I need to know.

I haven't seen the dimmers up close yet, so didn't know it was printed on the front panel - but now you've mentioned it, I can see it if I zoom in close enough to the diagram on page 5 of the manual.

Thanks a lot.
