Hi,

Every time I update a cue, the changed information returns to the default cue time (2sec). This means I either have to change the timing using the timing tab before updating a cue or, update the cue and then edit the timing. I feel this process takes up unnecessary programming time.

It would be really great to have a checkbox that allows the updated changes to default to the existing/current cue time.

If you use update in programmer there are a tick box in the save dialogue called "preserve existing timing". If you have that ticked on it should not touch the time you have set.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately that doesn't work. What that does is it preserves the current cue time but not the changed information's time.

Here's an example:

Current cue: chn 1@100%, chn 2@100%, chn 3@0% (fade time is 6sec)

Updated changes: chn 3@100% (w/preserve existing timing checked)

Outcome = chn 1, 2 (fade 6sec), chn 3 (fade 2sec {console default fade time})

My software is up to date so I don't think that's the issue.

When you save the change, save it with the option "record" ,the little arrow next to "save as" and make sure its merge or replace in cue options.

This is in clarity software on mac and pc. i have no console but it should be a record button there to. :)

Hi Oliver,

It all depends on how you do it.

If you use Update then Clarity presumes that you want the 2 sec time that is in the timing window.

However if you EDIT the cue and then add in the new channel, it will inherit the timing of the existing channels.
