Please read ALL of the messages in this thread before you download and run the virtual lighting show.

Otherwise it will not work and you will get grumpy with LSC for no reason wink.gif

PLEASE NOTE:

All 3D visualizers require massive amounts of computer CPU power.

Running this software on the same computer as Clarity will affect the performance of Clarity.

The Clarity programme may appear sluggish on occasions, in particular when running complex LED pixel mapping functions. Do not be concerned. If you wish to check how fast Clarity runs in normal operating conditions, simply close the visualiser software and repeat the task in Clarity. You will see an instant, and usually significant, increase in speed.

Step 1:

In order for Clarity and the Virtual Lighting Show to talk to each other on the same PC, you must have the Microsoft Loopback Network adaptor installed.

For details on how to do this please follow the links below.

Windows 2000

Windows XP (text)

Windows XP (pictures)

Step 2:

Download the attached ZIP file and then extract it to your computer. Double click the extracted program "Clarity Rock & Roll demo IV exe" to run it.

Your firewall software will issue a warning that the software wishes to access the network. You must say YES or ALLOW this to occur when prompted, otherwise Clarity and the Virtual Lighting Show will not be able to communicate.

Step 3:

Download the attached Clarity Show File (ZIP file) and extract to a known location on your computer. Then start Clarity and use the Open button to browse to the location of the unzipped files and load the show.

The show provided includes the full patch, a few cuelists/chases/scenes, Presets/Freesets, LED matrix, Cached Media Server and other goodies to give the new user the ability to start exploring the full power of Clarity.

We are working on a Mac version of this, but it is not as easy as we first hoped.

More news by the end of October.

Hi DMXlighting.

There have been over 200 downloads of the item with no other problems reported here, so I suspect that it might be something special about your computer.

What exactly is the problem? Is there an error message or just some strange behaviour. Please let us know and we will try to fix it ASAP.
